Know the starting price.Know what happens next.
Straightforward services use clear prices or starting prices. Device-specific repairs, custom computers, data work, and private systems are priced from the actual scope so you can review the work before approving it.
Parts, licenses, data volume, difficult disassembly, extra problems, and project-specific work remain separate unless the service description says otherwise.
Intent ready
What brought you to pricing?
You do not need to know the exact service name. Pick the goal that is closest to what you need and the page will point you to the right pricing area.

When the cause is unknown, start with evidence.
The diagnostic is paid technical work used to reproduce the problem, narrow the cause, and define the next step. Choose Standard for most ordinary computers. Choose Advanced for custom, high-performance, intermittent, or multi-component problems.
D-01
Standard Diagnostic
For common computer problems that need testing before the correct repair, software, upgrade, or replacement path can be confirmed.
- Startup and power symptoms
- Freezing and performance issues
- Storage, memory, and temperature checks
- Software and operating-system checks
- Plain-language findings
- Written recommended next step
D-02
Advanced Diagnostic
For difficult-to-reproduce failures, gaming PCs, custom builds, load-related crashes, or symptoms that may involve several components.
- Extended component isolation
- Custom-build assembly review
- Thermal testing when appropriate
- Stability testing when appropriate
- Compatibility review
- Repair or completion quote prepared separately
The diagnostic fee is credited toward qualifying approved labor of $249 or more on the same ticket. Parts and third-party charges do not count toward the threshold.
Know the service you need?Start with the right labor scope.
These are starting prices for the simplest qualifying version of each service. Parts, licenses, data migration, unusual disassembly, and unrelated failures remain separate. If the cause is still uncertain, use the diagnostic first. If the service is already clear, choose the closest path below.
The matching price will highlight, then this page can move you there automatically if you do not take another action.

Simple qualifying work gets a clear starting point.
These prices are not blanket authorization. If the actual condition reveals a different service, additional work, parts, or a more complex disassembly, you review that scope before it proceeds.

Simple installations stay simple. Difficult models are quoted first.
Prices below are labor only and assume compatible parts and reasonable access. The exact model is reviewed before laptop work is accepted.
Install and verify compatible memory in an accessible laptop or desktop.
Install and verify a compatible SSD without transferring the old system.
Install replacement storage and clone a healthy, readable source drive.
Install a compatible graphics card, power supply, storage device, fan, or expansion card.
Replace an accessible internal or external laptop battery and verify charging.
Replace a model-specific cooling fan after access requirements are reviewed.
Replace a compatible keyboard when the model does not require unusually extensive disassembly.
Internal cleaning and qualifying thermal-interface service for heat or fan-noise concerns.
Screens, charging ports, hinges, embedded keyboards, and difficult disassembly vary too much for one responsible flat price.
If a request falls outside this pricing structure, it should be identified before the customer is pushed into the wrong service path.
Move what matters.Build what you control.
Healthy-drive transfers and standard computer builds can use clear starting prices. Private servers and complex projects are priced from the actual environment and approved service scope.
Hardware, drives, licenses, migration, subscriptions, and specialty work stay separate unless the written package specifically includes them.

Move files without pretending ordinary transfer is advanced recovery.
These prices assume the source storage remains electronically accessible and stable enough to read. Clicking, grinding, disappearing, physically damaged, or severely degraded storage may need a specialist instead.

250 GB to 1 TB
Large File Transfer
Transfer a larger accessible user-data set to approved destination storage.

Unstable or failing storage
Failing-Drive Assessment
Get a Quote
Review symptoms and determine whether the device should be handled in-house or referred to a recovery specialist.
Storage that is physically damaged, severely degraded, or repeatedly disappearing may be referred directly to a specialist before ordinary transfer attempts continue.

Choose a defined number of services, not an unlimited technology promise.

One difficult integration can require more work than several simple services. The written quote controls when migration, remote access, existing-system cleanup, or unusual integration changes the scope.
Describe the result: private photos, computer backups, local media, password storage, remote access, or another approved household function. The technical stack can be selected from the actual requirements.
Data amount, exact device model, selected server functions, existing equipment, and any parts already purchased help route the request correctly.
Get help where it makes sense.Keep the scope controlled.
Remote sessions are scheduled and limited to a defined amount of time. On-site work is premium-priced because travel, setup, and an uncontrolled environment add real labor.
There is no unlimited-support promise. The service selected, time approved, and environment determine the scope.

Use remote service when you can. Pay for travel only when you need it.
Remote sessions require a computer that can start and connect online. On-site work is reserved for qualifying problems that depend on the physical environment or equipment at the location.

Know what the number means before you submit the request.
The pricing menu separates labor, hardware, diagnostics, data risk, credentials, and travel so a starting price does not become an open-ended promise.
Starting Prices
Starting at covers the simplest qualifying version. Model, access, condition, data volume, and complexity can increase the quote.
Parts & Hardware
Parts, computers, drives, cables, licenses, shipping, and subscriptions are separate unless a written package says otherwise.
Approval
A request, diagnostic, or deposit does not authorize unrelated work. Material changes require customer approval.
Diagnostics
Diagnostic fees pay for testing and explanation. Credit applies only to qualifying approved labor on the same ticket.
Deposits
Custom parts, model-specific components, server hardware, and special orders require payment before ordering.
Data
Transfer pricing assumes readable storage. No service guarantees every file, drive, backup, or recovery outcome.
Credentials
Do not place passwords or recovery codes in the initial form. Temporary or customer-created access is preferred.
On-Site Work
Travel, access, parking, environment, equipment, and additional time can affect the approved on-site scope.
Direct answers before you submit a ticket.
These cover the main questions that can change the price path or determine whether a request belongs in a different service category.
01Why is diagnosis charged separately?
Testing is real labor even when the best recommendation is not to repair the device. A qualifying credit is available on larger approved labor.
02Are private-server packages priced only by application count?
No. The count establishes a starting tier. Migration, remote access, unusual integrations, existing-system cleanup, storage design, and user count can change the written quote.
03Can I provide my own parts?
Possibly. Compatibility and condition are reviewed first, and labor remains chargeable when a customer-supplied part is defective or incompatible.
04Does the private-server price include hardware?
No. Server hardware, drives, networking equipment, backup devices, UPS hardware, licenses, and subscriptions are separate unless the quote explicitly includes them.
05Do private-server packages include ongoing support?
They include only the handoff and correction period stated in the quote. Continuing maintenance and support are separate.
06Can I pay cash?
Cash can be accepted during staffed drop-off or pickup and is recorded against the service ticket. Unattended cash drop-off is not accepted.
Describe the result you need.Match the service to the scope.
Include the exact device model when available, symptoms, selected private-server functions, existing hardware, data amount, and any parts already purchased. That is enough to route the request without forcing you to diagnose the problem yourself.
Computer diagnostics, upgrades, Linux, data transfer, custom PC builds, private home servers, and scheduled support for Katy and West Houston.
